Required reading for budding directors:
Simply the best book I've ever read on the subject of directing. I've gained so much valuable insight from this, and aside from the stuff I know about (the production part of the processs - but even then, my experience on professional film sets has been from the perspective of a boom operator / wannabe director) the book has taught me so much about the before and after production process, it's insane! I've been telling anyone I know about this book and I sincerely believe it should be required reading at every film school in the world.
