This work is as much a guide book as a map book. Its well-illustrated, descriptive section has very useful, succinct information about the Great Lakes area. While Ontario is particularly emphasized, this book is a reminder of just how large an area is covered by the Great Lakes. It is also a marker which expresses just how much the United States and Canada are interwoven with one another. Michelin's books have gained on readability in recent years and this is an excellent example of it.
