My children have been listening to this collection since they were very young. The stories are often gory, but they're also full of wonder. The introduction to the Greek gods sets the stage and helps make sense of some of the stories to follow. There is an amazing amount of detail in the tales of Perseus, Heracles, Theseus, and Jason. My step-son has just been introduced to this collection and says he wants more Greek Myths for Christmas. That might be the best review of all.
