Years ago, Ivor Thord-Gray's memoirs of his service as a gunner and chief of Villa's artillery in 1913 were published in Florida by an academic press. Useful for both insights into personalities and as campaign histories this book has held a high position in my vast collection of personal narratives of la Revolucion. Ivor Thord-Gray was not a mercenary but fit into the company of other professional soldiers such as Dean Ivan Lamb, who served in many nation's forces. The enormous price asked for this edition is simply not worth it. Why it ia already out of print having been published only in 2000 is beyond me.
