#@*&%!!!!: I had been playing the guitar for 2 years when I heard Street Lethal...and oh my god, I was starting to consider putting down the axe and taking up the kazoo! Paul Gilbert is one of the fastest, most furious guitar players this world has ever seen and he plays amongst a backdrop of equally talented musicians (including the drummer who knocked me over as soon as I recovered from hearing Paul). Unlike some of the other revered shred albums of the 80s, this one (fortunately) doesn't rehash those tired old symphonies, caprices, and fugues in every imaginable key that we were forced to listen to 10 times apiece in high school music education classes. Nah, this is just good ol' 80s sleaze metal...something you can actually dance to! The reason I gave it 4 stars however, is the overemphasis on playing fast. I confess, I am a blues fan so this opinion is somewhat biased, but let the guitar sing a little, Paul! Otherwise, great album. Worth a listen
Best Racer X album ever!: This really does rock, it's as heavy as **** and the guitaring is flawless. Play it load!
