The utility of dub, especially in its modern forms, lies in its ability to appeal to altered states of consciousness, as well providing some of the best chillroom music going. This 2CD compilation provides 21 cuts of styles that range from the almost-traditional to the barely-in-the-genre. Jungle have, however, approached their subject with a degree of enthusiasm, so along with two well-packed discs (at a nicely unpacked price) you get a highly informative booklet, rather than the usual dull sheet of titles and credits. Dub fans would do well to check this out.
