The Guitars Guitarest:
Marino Plays with conviction he is known by few. but plays some of the best music recorded. He is not commerical stuff and the music he did was very hard to find.Even today I play stuff by the greats and slip in Frank. and 9 of ten Say Who is that guy?? he is awesome. If you are into Gutiar and not just the Dolly Doodle shredders whom 1 song you heard em all. TrY Live. Power of Rock@roll and for Trippers Maxoom+Strange universe. He is fast Strong and has some Rebelious stories.Feed back Shredding solos thats Marino In my book he Lost The BATTLE BUT WON THE WAR.

One of the best rock'n'roll guitar players alive today:
This is one of Frank's best albums! His natural ability to play in the Hendrix style is way beyond what anyone else in this genre has done. If you are a rock guitar player then you should definitely get this album. You won't regret it. You can play it low OR turn it up loud. He is absolutely amazing on guitar. I have emailed him requesting that he put some of his concert footage on DVD. He told me that he is working on this. I can't wait. This weekend I got Mahogany Rush IV CD in the mail. This is another one of his greatest. I really like his love song "It's Begun to Rain" on this CD. This can really put a guy in the mood. Thanks Frank. I love your stuff.

Most underrated player of all time.:
Frank didn't (or wouldn't) fit into the sterile corporate mold that dictated who and what was played on the radio. This live recording still burns to this day. Rock, Jazz, Blues, Funk. He covered it all. The live interaction between Jimmy, Paul, and Frank was unbelievable. Just ask Ted Nugent, or any of the others Frank showed how it was done........

Marino's Best, But Not Necessarily A Great Album:
I've heard very little of Frank Marino's work, so I know I can't say very much, but from what I've heard on this record, this is his best ever. This album's songs are either very good or not really worth mentioning, but consistency was never really Marino's forte, so this is the best we've got.

Canadian Rock-Rush?NOOO Mahogany Rush!:
The best of the 70's Canadian bands was not Rush (even though they were great) but Frank Marino and his band. His renditions of Jimi Hendrix's songs as well as their originals made this band one of the best guitar driven acts. Frank Marino and Mahogany Rush Live is one of my favorite live albums of all time!
