WHY SO EXPENSIVE?:
I'm a major Beatles fan and no one enjoys a good box set more than me. But, why is this set so expensive? It goes for $296.99.If you were to purchase all 15 CD's separately, the total would come to only $224.35. That's a saving of $72.64. I recall seeing this set advertised on QVC and neither the booklet or the storage box looked that impressive. Even if they were first rate, they couldn't justify paying an extra $72.64. Am I missing something?

If you're an avid beatle fan, this is as good as it gets. Born in 1960, with 3 older sisters, I became a beatle fan before I could read. The main thing I remember is how great the music made me and my sisters feel. There has never been anyone in popular music that changed the way people think and feel about music and the world the way the beatles did. The main reason to have this collection is that it has songs not available on other recordings, and it has the original U.K. versions which is more beatles and less their producer. Why they are not all digitally remastered, (most are}, I can't tell you. Still, if you can afford it, this is the collection to have.

Buy it now!:
I have only just begun listening to the Beatles, and already, I know I'll be hooked for life. I'm lucky in the sense that, I have never bought anything by the Beatles before, and after falling into their music hard after all the dust has settled, has allowed me to get all of their albums at once. It's a little pricey, but well worth the money once you lay your eyes on the beautiful wooden roll-top box, all of their albums, and a booklet brifly explaining each of the included songs. The box itself is nice and heavy too (meaning it'll surely stand the test of time, just like the music contained within.) As for the tracklist, what more can you ask for? Sure, there's the Anthology discs, and the BBC recordings for the completist.. but, for the most part, everything the casual fan would ever need is right here. Conclusion: I thought I may have regretted my purchase, but once you hold this boxset in your hands.. it may very well be the best money you will ever spend. If you don't mind paying a little extra for the box itself, and the booklet, then don't wait: buy it now!

Beatles Compilation:
I found after I ordered this set thatthe song, let it be was on this set twice. Has anyone else noticed. But otherwise very good purchase. There are songs in this set I had never heard . I am looking forward to receiving this compilation. Putting price aside, I do feel this will be a great addition to my music collection.

I personally do not own this collection, but I have listened to the entire thing. "Hey Jude" is on Disc 16, Track 7. Just listen to it! Oh, and by the way, this set is worthit.
