ever wonder what happened to your favorite guitar slingers?:
I really love this whole concept. Albert King wrote and played some of the best blues guitar. I know some "purists" prefer accoustic only, but they are really missing something here. All of the artists on this cd had major success in the past, some a way in the past, but they show that they can still play. And play they do, this is electric guitar like it is supposed to be. You can imangine these guys playing in a bar and trying to show each other up. These guys put some real joy into their playing and it comes through on every track. If you like Albert King, buy this. If you remember Leslie West and Rick Derringer, or if you are a little younger, Pat Travers and Jon butcher, buy this disc. Or, if like me you can't get enough good electric blues guitar, buy this cd. No earth shattering new sound or style here, just the stuff you need when you want it loud and tasty.
The other side of Rock:
This Blues CD is composed of songs played and sung by some of Rocks'most influential musicians. The guitar work is exceptional as is the quality of production. Highly recommended to anyone that appreciates fine guitar work and has a love for the Blues.
