[.ca] Hard Rock Essentials: 1970's

Not a Hard Rock fan:
I bought this album a long time ago and played it again tonight to see which cd's my daughters may want. (They are visiting from out-of-state this week.) Except for a few songs like "House of the Rising Sun", "Nutrocker", "Lucky Man" and "Stumblin' In", I hated this album. The songs consist of nothing but screaming. I guess I'm just not a fan of this type of music.

Fabulous:
Best buy ever. All full length songs. YES YE

A good compiliation, but Rod Stewart?:
What is Rod Stewart doing on this disc? He is definitely NOT, in my opinion, hard rock. Other than that, this is a great compiliation. It includes the underground classic House Of The Rising Sun by Frijid Pink. That version is blisteringly heavy. I enjoy the other songs on this very much. It's a little bit light for my tastes, but still very good. This series should become more popular. It is actually very good. I would reccomend this CD to anyone who likes hard and classic rock. But only one thing, they should have replaced Rod Stewart with Dust's Suicide.
