REAL HEAVY AND UNFORGETTABLE!!!: I also agree with the other reviewers saying that this is an unforgettable death metal classic.I was totally blown away when I first heard this and still am.All the songs are well structured and heavy as hell. The songs are midtempo and are not that fast, but they rely on sheer force to dull your senses. In my belief,I think this is an overlooked classic which deserves alot more praise than what it's getting here.Go out and get this today because I promise you will not be disappointed.DEATH METAL LIVES ON!!!
One Of The Greatest Death Metal Albums Ever!: This is one very good album. I was very happy to have bought this one, considering it is one of the best death metal albums I ever heard. American death metal bands can be real good, but sometimes I think that Europe, especially Sweden, does it a little better. This band is so true to how metal should sound. The only thing about this album I don't care for is the fact that they repeat some of the same songs twice (even if they are two different recordings of the same song). Of course, that doesn't even make it bad at all. Every song on this album is great, but my favortie songs on this one are "Haunted" and "In Love". Trust me, if you like metal you won't be dissapointed with this one.
Classic, disturbing, unforgettable: "Into The Grave", the debut full- length album from European metal legends Grave, is a must- have for anyone even slightly interested in the death metal genre. This is brutal stuff. Piledriving ooze secretes from every track, bringing to mind the morbidity reinforced with the lyrics. A slow to mid-tempo musical assault, Grave are top-notch musicians; lyrically, however, is another matter. Let me put it this way: Grave is not for the squeamish. This is primal old- school death, very necromantic and full of harrowing hate of life. If you like death metal... this is primal death metal in it's most unabashed form- you will indeed love Grave. They are the best in the ever-narrowing field of classic death bands. While "Into The Grave" was first issued well over a decade ago, none of the power is lost. If you're NOT truly willing to step into the underground and experience what death metal is really all about, then stay as far away from this cd as you can get. Nightmarish and brilliant, and always disturbing, Grave remains unchallenged, and this is easily their most ghastly work. The bonus tracks also make "Into The Grave" a must-have for all who dare. And I'm not kidding. This is as hard and heavy and sick as it gets while still remaining great metal music.
Arghhh! Pulverizzzing Heavy As Hell Death: I picked up a copy of this at a record store in northampton after listening to track samples online. Wow! I was speechless upon listening to this Cd. I don't think I've ever heard a band this so dam HEAVY in my life. Its European slow to mid tempo speed death which is cool especially the slow chugging guitar riffs like in the song "Into The Grave". Incredible death vox on this cd as well, very low at times along with some high death screams. This cd just pounds away at your skull and leaves you battered and bruised. Everytime I listen to it I just want to punch thru glass! If your into death metal and looking for some real sick heavy music look no further!
