[.ca] For You

Yes, I think I heard it right, too:
They probaly actually couldn't really air the Seattle interview..if he actually did it. At any rate, This cd is really great in some parts and gets a little too mellow toward the end. Great songs such as for you, and heard it on the radio, if I were king, shadowland make up the core of the cd. The others are very good too such as we are only sleeping, I feel good, no man's land. Another couple of songs and it could of been his best outside of pink world..gets close but no cigar

Where's the enthusiasm?:
Tony Carey has a beautiful voice and his singing is rather laid back in a very pleasant way. He has written many very good songs over the years, but this album is sadly not one of his better. The main problem is that the material is quite flat and can't be saved by Carey's great voice. To me it seems as Carey lack enthusiasm on too many songs. But it's not all bad, in fact the song "No man's land" is in my opinion so good it's easily worth the money. Then you got some songs that stands out a bit from the rest: "Heard it on the radio", "For you" and "I can't talk to you". This is an album you have to play time after time, since there's no immediate tunes (except "No man's land) that will capture your attention. I'd say that "For you" is an album worth having, but it might not be the best first choice. Try to get "Storyville" - that's Tony Carey in his prime!

One Can Only Say "Hurrah":
This cd, also only available as an import , but its worth double that for the price offered. Beginning with a beautiful ballad "I Feel Good", then into a great song "No Mans Land" a track featuring Eric Burdon of the Animals fame and German songstress and star, in Europe, joins in on this song, and is truley a perfect mix of voices. "For You" an incredible song which has been released in so many versions its unbelievable, but only meaning 12 inch, extended remix, and each version a masterpiece. "Down on Happy Street" is probably my least favorite track, but nothing else is out of place. This another must have by a true songwriter, Tony Carey. So I review and give 5 stars.

Hey Everyone It's Me:
For You is by far one of Tony's finest peices of work. I cant say anything more then that except buy it, mind you it may cost a few pennies more being an import, but its definatly worth every dime, being from Canada, the cd cost me almost 50.00 to buy but I dont regret a dime. Playable disc by Tony night or day. Thats my story and I'm sticking to it.

Definately the Best From This Artistic Man:
Here we have one of the many releases by Tony Carey, released in 1989 in Hamburg, Germany on the Metronome label, is the best of his overseas releases. Added vocals on No Man's Land from Eric Burden of the Animals fame and very popular Anne Haigis, a very big star in Germany in her own right, make the a treasure to listen to. I Feel Good, the opening track a masterpeice of work, well I can list off every song on the cd and not find anything to say of anyone except that in their own right each is perfectly placed, perfect sounding, the best work Tony Carey has ever done to date, before this a greatest hits cd one of 3 he had released till then, but in 2000 another followed the poorly sold Boystown Tapes (except in Europe). Purchase this cd if you want an unbelivable addition to your music library, and you can get it here on Amazon.com
