3.5 stars - Good collection:
Although their reign of power was short lived, while it lasted, Nirvana was one of the most popular and best bands on the face of the earth. During their days together as a band they released, three studio albums and several singles. Like many bands, a number of Nirvana's singles contained non-LP tracks, so fans have been desperately hunting them down for quite some time now. And at long last, all of their singles have been brought together! Read on for my review of the Nirvana singles box. PROS: -All of Nirvana's singles are available in this set. It's great to finally have all of these together in a single place. -In addition to the popular single A-Sides, there are also rare B-Sides, which include previously unreleased studio and live sessions. These are the reason fans are going to want this set. CONS: -Nirvana made the same mistake any band makes when releasing a singles collection - they did one single per disc! Why scatter across six compact discs what can easily fit on just two? Doing that would have kept production costs lower, and therefore, lowered the suggested retail price. -This set is both pricey and rare. Accordingly, Nirvana die-hards may be the only ones who want to buy it. -If you just want this for the rare tracks, why not just go onto eBay and win an auction for one of the many rarities bootlegs that are so frequently auctioned off on there? OVERALL: Overall this set was a good idea, but if bands are going to keep putting out singles collections, this "one single per compact disc" thing has got to end. If you're a die-hard Nirvana fan, then this set won't fail to please.

A Good Collection for hardcore fans and the averedge nirvana:
This is great collection of Nirvana's hit singles and some rareities and live track's. I would consider myself a "dedicated" Nirvana fan since I own everything they have ever realesed and altough I own most of the rare track's on here I would still consider this a great collection. The single's Boxset includes all of these single's listed below. Nevermind 1.Smells like teen Spirt 2.Come as you are 3.In bloom 4.Lithium In Utero 5.Heart Shaped Box 6.All Apoligies If you own the "With The Light's Out" box-set you may or may not want it. Most of the rare song's on hear have been realesed on The Box-Set , but I would still get it anyway's just for the single's themselve's. The Packaging is outstanding and the singles fit nice and snug in the box. The price is fare for 6 c.d.'s. You may aggre or disaggre but thats just my opinion. Cheer's

Pretty Damn Cool:
I managed to snag this for a pretty good price at a Hastings store last night, and OMG it's awesome. Sure, I paid about 45 bucks for 11 songs, but still.... the way this thing is packaged and the b-sides featured make it worth the price of admission if you're a collector.. or just easily amused by nifty packaging, like me :) "Marigold" and "Moist Vagina" are revelations.. "MV" is hillarious and yet haunting at the same time, while "Marigold" shows an early peak at Dave Grohl's creative potential. Awesome stuff :)

Essential boxed set:
This is one of the boxed sets that you must own if you call yourself a music lover. It only includes the singles released domestically, but still it is worth buying for what it means: it is the legacy of one of the most honest and lyrically raw bands that ever existed. The only downside of getting it here is the price. Fortunately enough, I grabbed a copy at a very popular retail chain in my area for half this price. But whether you are a Nirvana fan or a beginner collector, try to get a hold of the Singles. Then you can go on and hunt for the other stuff. You won't regret it.

A chance to listen some (really good) B-Sides:
This is one of the boxed sets that you must own if you call yourself a lover of Nirvana's MUSIC, not the Nirvana's fashion. The box contains all singles released by Nirvana, including the A-and-popular-sides, but also some B-Sides and live versions that do of you a slave when hearing. The way you stay imprisoned and appreciates the good music is something. Anyway, I paid 40 reais on this box, what equals around 12 dollars. That is one advantage to live in a beautiful but ordinary big country called Brazil.
