One of the best heavy metal albums of all-time:
In 1987, Guns N' Roses released their debut, Appetite for Destruction and no one could have predicted the commercial success that Guns N' Roses would have experienced. Sweet Child O'Mine soared to #1 in 1988 and Welcome to the Jungle and Paradise all reached the top ten on the Hot 100 singles chart with Paradise City reaching #4 and Welcome to the Jungle peaking at #7. Night Train would hit the Hot 100. This is Guns N' Roses best album and more than 14 million copies sold proves that this is one of the best metal albums of all-time. Guns N' Roses knew how to be successful and let's hope that Slash and Axl can mend fences and bring the greatest heavy metal band of all-time back together. I'm still waiting for Guns N' Roses to reunite.

AMAZING:
Guns n' Roses, well known for their drinking and crazy destructive habits are one of the most popular bands from the eighties, and it all started with this album. The first track, Welcome to the Jungle is a great tune with premium bass and drums, Paradise city is probably the most well known hard rock song ever and has great guitar and anthemic lyrics. Sweet Child O' Mine is an amazing song that protrats Saul Hudson's (Slash's) great guitar ability with the booming minute long Les Paul Solo. THis is a great album for any rock fan.

What a ripoff.:
This CD is a joke. IT says edited, but it's every bit as uncensored as the explicit version. AND it's 5$ extra. Save your money, or even just pass it up, if it's for a kid. I like the music, not the false advertising. Musically, it should be a 4 and a half stars, but advertising-wise...it's crap.

The Band That Could Have Been...:
Guns`N`Roses were great and might be great again but it could have been a much bigger band if they had made more albums, and more specificly more albums like Appetite For Destruction.Appetite is the band`s best album and while you may not like the other albums,it is truly one of the best albums ever made and G`N`R forever changed the music scene with this one... The debut album of the band is also the best, with songs like "Sweet Child Of Mine","Paradise City" and "Welcome To The Jungle" it is sure to please any rock/metal fan.It is no secret that the band is mainly the signer Axl Rose who has one of those voices, its wonderfull. The band also have a great guitarist in Slash,Steven Adler played drums...well yknow a great album. Appetite basicly made the members of the band go from bum to rich mans, after this album they would never make a better one.Following up will be "Lies" in 1988 and the "Use Your Illusion I-II"who would both be released at the same time in 1991,then "The Spaggetti Incident"but no album they made can compare t this one. Fans are still waiting for the "Chinese Democracy" album that has been in production for years,we will no doubt see a new lineup and changes but Appetite will still be their their best,"whats done is done". Guns`N`Roses will be in the rock`n`roll hall of fame at one point or another, mainly because of this album.A great buy.
