[.ca] Lightnin' Hopkins 1947-1969

King of the TEXAS Blues Singers:
I own quite a few Lightnin Hopkins C.D.'s and this one is easily the best. It is good from begining to end all the other Lightnin Hopkin C.D.'s I own have too many tracks where he dosn't seem to be at the top of his game on this C.D. you here him at his best (Wolf records B.O.B put together excellent blues compliations). His singing is great and of course his guitar playing is excellent. If I could only own one Lightnin Hopkins C.D. this would be it and it is the only one I really listen to I own "Mojo Hand" it only has a few really good tracks (it is really pricey on top of that to) I really don't know the source of these recorings but they sound like their from Lightnin Hopkins earliest days. There are a couple of awsome tracks with Lightnin in a band setting . Well if your a Lightnin Hopkins fan , blues fan , acoustic blues fan get this Lightnin Hopkins is the King of the TEXAS blues singers ! no doubt. check out trk.19 totally hilarious Lightnin cuses up a storm
