I USE TO LISTEN TO THIS RECORD ALBUM WHEN I WAS LITTLE. WHILE MY PARENTS WOULD DANCE IN THE LIVING ROOM AND I GREW UP LISTENING TO MY PARENTS SINGING THESE SONGS. IT IS AN ABSOLUTELY AWESOME ALBUM. IT IS THE BEST OF THE BEST. THANK YOU.SHERRIE DEAN

A singer posessing both genuine, personable warmth and solid technical vocal abilities; recorded in his vocal prime performing American western standards both authentic and contemporary with obvious enthusiasm; set to musically effective, rich instrumental backing largely based on acoustic guitar; recorded live in the studio in glorious true stereo by RCA Living Stereo era recording talent (Bill Porter, Roy Orbison's engineer on many of that singers' astounding sounding hits); transferred intelligently to CD without being ruined with "improvements" by the good quality Bear Family engineers. Both of Eddy's classic Western albums. Classic Western folk Americana. Fine vocals. Fine backing. Better sound acoustically than most modern pop records. This all adds up to one wonderful CD! A keeper, and it only grows on you as time goes by. If you are at all curious or interested in folk music, get it. Good listening, folks.

I bought this originally as a record...way back when. A few years ago, I found the CD and it brought back all those wonderful memories of listening to this ever-gentle "Tennessee plowboy"! I heartily recommend this to ANY Eddy Arnold fan!
