From Amazon.com: Thomas the Tank Engine fans will scarcely breathe as Thomas and friends encounter haunted mines, dangerous boulders with watchful eyes, ghost cars on moonlit nights, fog-shrouded scrap yards, and a ghostly figure protecting engines from unseen dangers. Thomas, Rusty, Toby, Duncan, Stepney, and Henry courageously face their fears to learn that many "ghosts" are just regular people (or trains) that appear frightening due to one's imagination. Annie, Clarabel, Lady Hatt, and Sir Topham Hatt teach viewers about the value of home and friendship in "Sir Topham Hatt's Holiday," and a music video, "Every Cloud Has a Silver Lining," stresses the importance of goals, learning from mistakes, and the power of a smile. After 37 thrilling minutes of six episodes and a music video, Thomas & Friends devotees will be clamoring for more. (Ages 3 and older) --Tami Horiuchi
Spills and Chills!!: This is the scariest Thomas video in my collection! When I first wachted it, I was a little scared. But now I love it! It contains the stories: Toby's Discovery, Rusty & the Boulder, Duncan Gets Spooked, Stepney Gets Lost, Haunted Henry, Sir Topham Hatt's Holiday, and Every Cloud Has a Silver Lining (the music video). My favorite story is Stepney Gets Lost and I also like Haunted Henry. It is also the great gift Halloween gift to give to your Thomas fan (if you have a Thomas fan, you better wait until he is a little older to see this or else it will change his impression on Thomas). Alec Baldwin does a good job narrating the stories. I hope your Thomas fan will like it. I know I do!
Not as scary as everyone thinks it is: This is probaly the 2nd or 3rd Alec Baldwin tape there was and I thought he did a okay job. It wasn't really that scary. My sister has been much more scared in Percy's Ghostly Trick or in Thomas Percy and the Dragon. I wouldn't not give this tape to anyone because it's not that scary. I think their now makiing Stepney the Blubell Engine from Austraila. And it the books Stepney's not even the Fat Controler's engine. And when he was first introduced in the tapes he wan't Sir Topam Hat's either. Just because their's a new narrator doesn't mean they should forget the old stuff. I thought Rusty and the Boulder was pretty good but I wish Thumper was used more often. He was in only one. This tape was good but it didn't stand out from the others.
Good Stories and Horrible Stories all in one video!: This video does have some decent stories on it, like Duncan Gets Spooked, but there are also some of the worst episodes of Thomas & Friends on it too. Rusty and the Boulder for example has a boulder with a mind of its own chasing the little engines, ending up crashing into a shed and bursting into a fireball. The narration by Baldwin is ok, but it could be better.
Exciting video!: I loved this video. The stories are "Toby's Discovery", "Rusty and the Boulder", "Duncan Gets Spooked", "Stepney Gets Lost", "Sir Topham's Hat Holiday" and the cool music video "Every Cloud has a Silver Lining." Rusty and the boulder is very exciting! Alec Baldwin is good.
Alec Baldwin is Fantastic as Narrator!: This is yet another fantastic Thomas video, but what really separates it from others is Alec Baldwin's voice for Lady Hatt. Makes me howl every time I hear it--a combination of Julia Child and some Simpsons character. It's perfect. Of course, my son loves this video, too...
