[.ca] Breeding Death (3 Tracks)

great:
This the members of opeth sticking to more death grind sound. There is only 3 songs on here and that is not enough they should made a whole lp.

Spread The Death:
I swear to you, If I could give this record ten stars I would. It's that good. It's probably one of the best releases in extreme metal you'll ever get to hear. Members of Opeth, Katatonia & Edge Of Sanity come together as Bloodbath & bring forth one of the most brutal death metal releases ever. Forget Morbid Angel or Cannibal Corpse; this is far more stronger. While Morbid Angel & Cannibal Corpse often stray into guitar solos & slower songs, Bloodbath have 2 things in mind: fast pace & strong grooves. And they carry on that mission extremely well during the album's 3 songs; leaving your ears bleeding for more. Another thing worth noticing on this awsome release is the amazing vocals done by Mike Akernfeldt of Opeth. With his gore - soaked, deep hellish vocals, he proves that he has one of the best voices in extreme metal.

I gave RTC 2 stars cuz it SUCKS!:
Before I write this, don't buy their LP Resurrection Through Carnage, it predictabilty, monotony and plain crappiness are unbelievable. This cd however is absolutely awesome. All three songs are awesome and track 3, Furnace Funeral (my favourite Bloodbath song) is just damn awesome. The cd is fairly heavy and not overdone, while keeping melodious passages in it, rather like Opeth, but whereas Opeth were 95% Melody, 5% Brutality, Bloodbath are exactly the opposite. The drumming is good enough and actually does some sick beats and cool double bass. The riffs are fantastic, the bass is good when it is audible, what else can I say. By the way, the Vocals are just god-damn awesome, Mikael doesn't sing a note here! Nothin' but sick old school death metal! Buy, buy, buy!

Good friendly violent fun:
Sometimes, one needs to let off some steam, and for its normally quite restrained members, Bloodbath is probably the equivalent of you or me going on a week's booze bender. While Mikael Åkerfeldt possesses one of the best death metal voices around, Opeth isn't really a death metal band. Similarly, Bloodbath sounds nothing like Katatonia or any of drummer/producer Dan Swanö's innumerable other projects. All the aforementioned bands have a certain sophistication and a level of virtuous grace. Bloodbath, however, has no civility whatsoever. Åkerfeldt sounds like he is passing ten-pound kidney stones while normally quite melodious guitarist Anders Nyström delivers a sound more akin to that of a chainsaw. But how about the songs? All three of 'em are excellent, with the mighty "Furnace funeral" as the highlight. Bloodbath's considerable charm derives from the fact that this is four good buddies getting together to have rude fun. If you like driving rhythms, punishing guitar work and gargled lyrics celebrating the unsubtle joys of disembowelment, you'll have great fun too. I certainly do.

B R E E D I N G D E A T H ! !:
Since everyone pretty much said it all about how great this collaboration is, I wont say much more except BUY NOW. Seriously, If you enjoy DEATH METAL or are looking for something else to tide you over til the next OPETH release, then this is what you need. While there's only 3 tracks they are brutal and are the pinnacle of what Death Metal should be. Track 1 Breeding Death 4:25 Track 2 Omnious Bloodvomit 3:46 Track 3 Furnace Funeral 5:03
