They dispelled their frustrations, though, by winning the 2000 Stanley Cup, as recounted in Second Heaven, the official NHL championship video. The 1999-2000 season was a chaotic one for the Devils, for even as they led the Eastern Conference with eight games left in the regular season, lackluster play spurred GM Lou Lamoriello to fire coach Robbie Ftorek. Under former assistant Larry Robinson, the resurgent Devils beat the rival Florida Panthers in the season finale and again in the first round of the playoffs. A win over the Toronto Maple Leafs, a historic comeback from a 3-1 deficit to beat the Philadelphia Flyers, and a grueling six-game victory over the defending champion Dallas Stars sealed the championship for New Jersey. This 55-minute video features extensive footage of each round of the playoffs as well as comments by Martin Brodeur, Scott Niedermayer, Ken Daneyko, Jason Arnott, and Larry Robinson, among others. Also included are profiles of All-Star rookie Scott Gomez and the high-scoring "Arnott Line" of center Arnott and Czech wings Patrik Elias and Petr Sykora, and of course plenty of bone-crunching hits from playoff MVP Scott Stevens. it is good becuase claude lemieux was in it!!!:
i have to say that regardless of what people say is that claude lemieux is a lucky man who also has the talent and who brought the cup to new jersey in 2000. he was the reason the devils one it in 1995 and in 2000. this video is good i should the interviews, etc. and it is worth buying, but i must say that it does not matter what any other man or women thinks. claude is the reason the devils won in 2000!!! and if there is no claude the drought will occur for several years. is it a coincidence that the devils took five long years to get it back again? No. since the 1995 win claude was not there but else where and so it took five years to regain it back.

Second Heaven Second to None:
Excellent film recapping the Devils drive to their second Stanley Cup Championship. Well done sequel to Heaven, the Devils original Stanley Cup movie. Not as many off ice stories as in the original film, i.e., Detroit octopus, the Devils bus driver, pre game rituals, etc., but very good game action coverage. Follows the team through their playoff series against Florida, Toronto, Philadelphia and finally Dallas for the Stanley Cup Championship. The drama in the conference finals and Stanley Cup finals is well documented. Great game sound bytes from the players. Larry Robinson should strongly be considered for an Academy Award for Best Director.

The 2000 Stanley Cup Champion New Jersey Devils proved to the world that they are a powerhouse in the NHL. This video shows the Devils historical run to North America's most storied trophy. All hockey fans(except Rangers fans) should check this video out to relive the excitement of the NHL playoffs. Claude Lemieux is # 1:
Claude Lemieux is the main reason why the Devils won in 1995, and in 2000. The video tape or DVD is worth buying. Claude Lemieux also made history as being the only player in history to win the cup for two different teams. Claude Lemieux has won more cups than Mario Lemieux. Claude won it in 1986 1995 1996 and 2000. Let's hope that the Devils and Lou Lamoreillo obtains this great player who really is the heart and soul of the devils.Claude is known also for his famous punch he gave to Kris Draper #33 of the Detroit Red Wings. That was a beautiful punch Draper received in the face. please take advantage of the opportunity when watching claude lemieux, players like him are scare, good players, but who are growing older and once he is gone, he is gone from the scene.
