stinky: I'm gonna give that movie, 2 thumbs down and a fart *farts really loud*
oh Jeepers cripes people!!!: I hate this extremely kweer movie it is a total disgrace if I was you I would buy it just to burn it! I'm giving this movie 2 thumbs down and a fart!
not suitable for kids or adults, not suitable for any age group.: this movie is pretty bad.i haven't been this bored in a long time.Alec Baldwin must have been into the sauce when he agreed to do this thing.it's marketed as a kid's movie with a PG rating, but this really isn't a kid's movie.there is some very adult language implied.yet it is not a movie for adults either, because it is so juvenile.so,really this movie is not suitable for anyone.By the way,Mike Meyers looks like a complete idiot as the cat.this movie doesn't strike me as being very faithful to the spirit of the children's book by Dr.Seuss. the only other thing i can say about this movie is it is colourful.otherwise, there is no good reason for anyone to watch this movie.a weak 0/5
Crap in cap...: What can I say? THis is a bad film and I don't know how they could screw up a classic film so bad! Ugh... the Grinch was good but I would never see this movie again. My neighbour's kids saw it, they really like the book, and they fell asleep during it! They said it wasn't at all like the book, and it wasn't. I would never spend my hard earned cash on this. If I could, I'd give it zero stars. But one star. They're lucky.
A Sap In A Hat: Yeash. I couldn't even watch the second half of this film. I think that it was one of the WORST movies ever made! I mean, for one thing they have such a VERY materialistic interpretation of Dr. Seuss' artistic vision. I seem to recall his characters being realistic, and his view of things surreal, yet capturing reality fairly well. And the kids in the story were like REAL kids, not Holloywoodish pretty-faced children. Mike Myers is a brilliant character actor; there can be no argument there. (Frankly, I don't find him to be at all funny however.) But, his take on the Cat in the Hat character is, well, disturbing. It's like watching a VERY adult comedy making fun of kids' films. And ADULT is how I would describe it, as there is an awful lot of (strange, and disturbing) sexual humor here. It seems to me like this film is a complete bastardization of Seuss. Despite what critics think, I'd recommend watching Jim Carrey's brilliant performance in "the Grinch" before watching this flop. (Not that it was such a good film either.) The DVD design here is kinda cheap. They tried to add some nice features, but it all seemed trashy to me. And there's an awful lot of junk you gotta get through to even get to the film itself. Yuck.
