[.ca] Prowler in the Yard

is it just me? or does grindcore define human emotions?:
truth be told, theres not many grindcore bands out there. it is a genre that sounds pretty much all the same. but that doesnt stop it from being one of the best genres around. i am a big fan of classical pianist Wladyslaw Szpilman. yet when i put on Pig Destroyer...well, Szpilman sounds like a pussy. classical is sophisticated, calm, and inspirering. grindcore gets that f-ckin anger outa yer system, baby! pig destroyer is most likely the best grindcore band out there. the drums are the fastest sounding thing youll ever hear, the guitars are the most heavy sounding thing youll ever hear, and the vocals are the most painful yet refreshing thing youll ever hear. i hate mtv. i hate mainsteam radio. i have a feeling that Pig destroyer hates those things as well, because they have one goal: to completely screw the minds over of young adults today and show us the truth about society, making us convulse in the process. i cant say this is better than 38 Counts of Battery(also by Pig Destroyer), but its just as good! pick this up if youve ever heard grindcore, cuz these guys take it to the mat.

hands down, this is the best grindcore record of all time, without question. this album is not for the minds of the faint hearted. not only is scott haul the guitarist for the band in several other bands, he still has enough innovation to come up with the most brutal and yet melodic guitar riffs i have ever heard. prowler in the yard being a full on concept album about a girl, we'll call her "jennifer", even adds to it's erie feel, and it gets better every time i hear it. for being a three peice band, in which i admire the fact they do not use a bassist, they pull together to be the three most talented and brilliant musicians that will ever record music for years to come. although it goes without saying, they are the epitomy of metal and grind. i am eagerly awiating their new release from them called "terrifyer" hopefully early summer, i recommend getting your grubby little hands on it as soon as humanly possible. you can hear a peice of it on the new contaminated 6.0 from relapse records, it is track #1 on disc 2. check out other awseome bands at relapse.com. if you like pig destoyer check out, kalibas, ion dissonance, deadwater drowning, nasum, bodies in the gears of the apparatus, leng tch'e, first day dead (local pittsburgh band), converge, the red chord, into the moat, crowpath, a life once lost (only "open your mouth for the speechless" and previous records), and the black dahlia murder.

Pd, one of the most amazing grindcore bands in relapse and i truly love 38 counts of battery as well as this album " prowler in the yard" so pd has established themselfes as the head leading of the grind scene after the gods napalmdeath & earlier albums from carcass,origin,nasum,regurgitate,scar culture, and, anb. Pretty much twenty two assult machine in your ears untill you beg for your hearing back after they make you deaf! Just lovely---buy it!

EXTREMEly Fun:
The lyrix : pyschopathic, disturbing, reading is a lot of fun. The Guitar: Scott Hull...need i say more? The Vox: insanely pissed off. The drums: underground-sounding, but should have had more blastbeats.

Boring:
I cant stand pig destroyer, i mean, they truly suck ass...I had the displesure to listing to pd's whole album and not one song sounded good. If you want good grind get anb (agoraphobic nosebleed,napalmdeath,regurgitate,cephalic carnage,origin,scar culture) but leave weak garbage like nasum,pigdestroyer alone. I know alot of fa&*ots are going to come at me for talking bout nasum the way i do but f*ck it...They suck ! Don't buy this!
