From Amazon.co.uk: This is the third full album from what used to be the clean-cut boys of global pop. Celebrity finds an older and wiser 'N Sync elevated to the higher echelons of popdom generally reserved for old timers (relatively speaking) like the Backstreet Boys. Now that 'N Sync have earned the right to stop writing solely about happy boy meets nice girl, the lyrics have a snarling quality and are more blasting commentaries on the world of pop music or bitter ripostes to their critics. The opening track and first single "Pop" is a dark, electronic-driven defence of the scene with the arrogant boast "We got the gift of melody". The cynicism continues with the title track "Celebrity", a Michael Jackson style swing beat with the opening line "If I wasn't a celebrity, would you be so nice to me". "Gone" is much more like the 'N Sync we know and love--nice strings, nice guitar, lovely melody but lacks some of the bite that their new squelchy sub-bass style has; as does "Something Like You", a weak ballad so wet it's dripping. Aside from the odd lapse in attitude, this is by far the most consistent and innovative album the boys have made to date. --David Trueman
This album is great, but....: I love Nsync's new album! This even has two new songs on it. This CD is good if you want the bonus tracks on the same CD as the other songs. However, you can find "Falling" and "That Girl" on the recently released soundtrack "On the Line", the movie that Lance and Joey are in. That is why these two songs didn't make it on the US album. In addition, the OTL soundtrack has Briney, BBMak, a solo by Joey, and other good songs. I highly recommend it. But if you don't want to pay more money for a whole new CD and just want Nsync songs, this would be a good buy. The bonus tracks are worth the extra money, and makes the CD a little longer.
Review of Bonus Tracks: If you're looking into buying this CD rather than the US release, I'd think about it seriously. That's a big price difference for only two extra songs(no matter how good the songs are!). The original tracks are all really great and vary a lot in style(check the reviews for the US release for more on these). The bonus tracks are also great. Word has it that Chris wrote them : ) That Girl Will Never Be Mine: This song reminds me of some of the old school stuff. Sort of a Bye, Bye, Bye, It's Gonna Be Me, I Want You Back, Mix. It is cool, though. I really like it! Falling: A beautiful song! I love this one. I don't know if any of you N'Syncers listen to (gasp!) BSB, but this song reminds me of "Darling" off of the boys first album. Very pretty. All in all, the bonus tracks are great. I would recommend shelling out the extra cash for the import.

Great stuff: All I remember hearing about NSYNC when they first came out was that they were a Backstreet Boys clone. Excuse me while I snicker . . . haha, ha, ha. See they've evolved as musicians and artists and Celebrity is by far my favorite CD by them. Songs like "See Right Through You" and "Up Against The Wall" will have you goin' crazy while you drive (my girlfriend and me listen to this CD in our car all the time), and songs like "Falling" and "The Two Of Us" can brighten your spirits when need be. I recommend this CD in a heartbeat.
Celebrity: I REALLY like this cd. It has upbeat tracks like 'Pop' and slow R & B type ballads such as 'Gone'. This album is much more R & B and electronica flavoured than their previous ones. The bonus tracks are great as well. If you like 'N SYNC, this is a great cd.
