Great lost pop from 1978!:
I already had a previous CD that was a compilation of the Flys entire work but I wanted "Waikiki Beach Refugees" for mainly one song, "I Don't Know", a great pop-rocker. The Flys are a band from Coventry, England and put out two albums in the late 70's. This CD showcases their musicianship and awesome, veteran-like songwriting. There are other gems on this disc, such as "Don't Moonlight On Me" and "We Don't Mind the Rave." Their sound has been described as Mod but it really isn't. Just pure pop rock, to be enjoyed by people that like that late 70's power pop sort of thing! Also, this disc has pretty good sound quality, too.
