WOOWWWWWWW: Ok well no question this is the best TArkan cd ever!!!!!!! most songs are written by him and they just sound so beautiful. my favorites are ask, hup, ay, well the whole damn cd......i dont speak turkish but im learning i understand tarkans song.some of them....friends translate for me and they are sooooo beautiful!!!! like ask... in one part he says: your the most beautiful rose in all of the gardens of love ive ever seen. i would type the rest but i got2 keep it short,,hes just great his songs are the best and since i just got back from turkey(istanbul, antalya, bodrum and more) im just so facinated by the turkish culture and people..they are sooooo great,,,,and tarkans great tooooo. i wish him good luck here in the u.s for his english album but i think i will love the turkish alot more since turkish is a beautiful language. in the u.s we need to open our minds and hear this singing wonder turkish delight!~!
Carma's Istanbul: Just returned from Istanbul and purchased this CD "Karma". If you love world music this is an absolute must have.Ultra modern Turkish music that you will be proud you found. Your friends will ask who is this when they hear it. To bad there is no current photo of the cover. This man is beautiful. The first two songs are my favorite, "ASK" and "AY". They make your arms want to sway and your hips rotate. Thanks Ikram for suggesting Turkan for my rainy American nights.
A great singer from Turkiye: I bought this CD while stationed in Turkiye. Having never heard previous albums by Tarkan I loved this one from the get-go because the music sounds great modern blend of Western and Eastern sounds. I'm fan of the Turkish rhythms used (think Middle Eastern drums) and the discoteque sounds. Before buying the album Ay Ay was my favorite song but afterwards I must say Ask (Love) is the winner. Getting a translation of the lyrics from friends just made the song better. The lyrics express love quite differently than we do here in the States, sometimes sounding a little silly, but at the same time more sincere. I admit I sometimes skip over the slower songs, mostly because I don't understand the lyrics and can't really sing along. Songs like Yandim are Turkish traditional music. They mean more when you know the meaning. Nevertheless Tarkan's beautiful voice shines in these pieces. Overall this is a great album, a favorite in my collection. I'd recommned it to anyone but especially if you are into great world music.
Tarkan's Karma is very good.: This is very very good. Even if you do not understand any Turkish at all.
Just Grrrrreeeaaatttt!!!: Excellent album from one of my favorites singers: TARKAN!! Perfect balance between fast music and slow ones. I love Kuzu Kuzu, hup, gitti gideli, tas,ay, I mean: I LOVE THE WHOLE ALBUM! It worth every penny you pay!!!!!!
