Perfect: The most enjoyable hip-hop cd I have ever listened to. Buy this album and support this group, they are the most innovative hip-hop group EVER, and I mean that. Awesome beats, crazy lyrics and multi-syllable rhyming, punchlines, concept tracks, has everything
I don't listen to any denomination of the U.S. dollar...: Extended F@mm is a really solid squad. They're a faction of The Plague, this super def unit of the top tier of emcees around at this time. If I hadn't all ready heard like half the EP before the EP was released, it would have been an even more pleasant surprise...however, that wasn't the case. It's still a buy I'm more than glad I made. Now for critical analysis, emcees Pack FM, who is the sickest in my opinion, Substantial, real dope too, Tonedeff, who touts an astonishingly exemplary control of delivery, and then Session (booooooo). The first three all bring something pleasant to the table, Session is the more mediocre, he's got some good ideas for wordplay but just executes poorly, still that's the worst thing about the album. Otherwise, when you're dealing with Pack, Substantial, and Tonedeff, you have nothing but talent to expect. Pack seems to specialize in the wordplay and punchline department, Substantial seems to bring wordplay and message to the table, where tone contributes his touted rapidly fast flow and his somewhat respectable wordplay, an honorable effort in any case. The production throughout sustains to be neck breaking, particularly on line drop--that's one of the dopest songs for the last quarter of 2002, and even first quarter of 2003. To conclude...this album is more than worth your money, it will impress friends, teachers, and even first dates. Push something unique and flavorful...don't be a scummy herb. P3@cE!
Extended Famm - Happy F*Ck You Songs: This album is dope. It has rhymes with powerful punchlines. The beats are mad ill and they have a twist to them. You will ever get bored with this album. I had the album for about two years now. I'm still listening to it. I'm trying to catch all the punchlines and understand the songs. The group signs on many as 11 tracks. Then Squeggy comes in, he sounds like Elmo but in an explict version.
Diamond in the Rough: If you are a lover of hip-hop, and you appreciate lyrics filled with thought and wit, then this album is for you. I can't say enough about the album. Instead of talking about each track, I'll speak abou the album in general. I purchased it shortly after 50 cent dropped and I have bumped "Happy ef you" ever since. I like all kinds of hip hop, but it is so rare to find emcees who can blend the purest nature of flowing and wordplay with secular hip-hop attitudes filled with braggadocio and heat. The emcees are vicious. They flip words so effortlessly that you will be forced to listen to songs again and again to get all the punchlines. Far from the Neptunes, Just-blaze, Kanya West, Timbaland, etc., the production is simple boom-bap, but still pleasing to the ear. Lyrics take front stage here, a refreshing breathe of air in an era of production driven hip hop. If you can appreciate lyrical prowess, then buy this album, it will greatly augment your collection of 50, rocafella joints, and Nelly.
BUY THIS EP!!!!: If you like listening to rhymes that just make you put your fist to your mouth, that this is definitley the record for you. With songs like "FYIRB" (F*** You I Rhyme Better) and "Deadly Combination" and just about every track on the album. Also, the skits on this album are actually FUNNY for a change. The best part about Extended F@mm is that each person is equally great. There are no people in the group where skip their verse in the song when it comes on. TRUST ME, you should buy this album. Some of the most quotable lines I've ever heard, but I won't quote them hear. YOU'LL HAVE TO BUY THE ALBUM TO FIND OUT. PEACE!!!
