[.ca] Elmo's World: Head to Toe with Elmo (Sesame Street)

From Amazon.com:
Certainly not the preschooler's body-part primer implied by its title, Head to Toe with Elmo simply unfolds the great mysteries of jackets, hats, and shoes. This combo induces plenty of chuckles for Elmo, the scruffy red-furred host who loves interviewing kids, babies, talking clothing, and his (real) pet goldfish. As little Elmo flits about his crayon-scribbled environs, he poses lots of questions to preschoolers at home: "How do you put on your jacket?" "Who wears hats and who doesn't?" and "What do shoes do when nobody is wearing them?" Plucked directly from the highly acclaimed Sesame Street show, each 15-minute segment features a fast-paced blend of video vignettes, goofy Mr. Noodle encounters, Elmo's own purposefully amateur home movies, and laughs for the grownups who might be watching. Not to say Elmo's jokes always fly, but kids can't seem to get enough of this wholesome, curious, and informative critter. --Liane Thomas

NOT GOOD!!! WHAT HAPPENED ELMO!!!:
I love Elmo but when I saw this I said "WHAT'S GOING ON ELMO!!!" I'm really really young and I can't dress myself yet so when I watched this I was scared.I hid behind my mommie and she said "It's ok!!!" but I started crying!!! And then my daddie says that someday you will dress yourself!!! I don't want to it's really scary!!! And Elmo said in the movie film "Everyone can get dressed!!!" EXCEPT ME,ELMO!!! EXCEPT ME!!! And in the movie film Elmo said a bad bad bad bad word! You probably didn't hear it but it was a bad bad bad bad word!!! I think I got a different version then my bestest best best friend Bob!!! My mommie says that I shouldn't watch Elmo anymore!!! Oh well!(...)

Head to Toe - Unusually Boring:
I would rate this the least interesting Elmo DVD - it has a slow pace, and it's all about similar topics (clothing items). Our two year old - who loves Elmo - actually yawns during this one. The only amusing part is about shoes. Pass on this one if you have a choice!

Entertaining:
My son LOVES this DVD and wants to watch it everyday. If you are looking for a DVD to show a child every piece of clothing and how to put it on this is not it, as other reviewers have said. This DVD keeps my 16 month old entertained for 50 min's, and that is enought time to get dinner ready. He's happy and so am I.

A Very Good DVD:
When I saw some of the other reviews for this dvd, I was a little surprised. We bought this one for our 20 month-old daughter, and it immediately went into our rotation of Elmo videos. She loves it just as much as the other ones. In fact, this was the first one that she started to sing along with Elmo. She became engaged with the familiar objects. To be honest, I don't think any of the Elmo segments are particularly tolerable to adults, and this one didn't bother me any more than any of the others. My daughter loves Elmo, and finds something fascinating in all the segments. And I can let her watch without worrying about violence, language, or content. That's the important thing. So, if your looking to add some "new" Elmo to your video library, then this one will fill the bill.

A Good DVD:
I was skeptical about ordering this DVD because most of the reviews were not overwhelmingly positive. I just wanted to write that it is worth the reasonable price. Both of my children enjoy this DVD, and they have been having fun wearing their jackets, hats and shoes since they watched it. I therefore would definitely recommend this DVD.
