[.ca] Ass Cobra

not bad, but "apocalypse dudes" is far better:
This was the first album I heard by Turbonegro, and even before I heard anything else by them I thought this album was good, solid punk but not super-great. Much of it is hilarious (like the rant that opens up "Imorgen Skal Eg Daue") and there are some great individual songs (such as "Sailor Man" and "I Hate The Kids"). But it's hardly an essential album, and it doesn't hold a candle to "Apocalypse Dudes," which was Turbonegro's next album after this one and a huge improvement over this.

hardest cd I own, hardest band I've seen...:
I first heard of TN last summer when I saw a poster at the Southside festival in Tubingen. I thought "hmm, interesting." Just under a year later they played a club in D.C. & I thought "any band calling themselves Turbonegro has got to be worth checking out." So I went having never heard or seen them. Absolutely one of the hardest shows I've been to, with buckets of blood even. I played the back of the hall and observed. At a show like this you just know someone's going to get stomped out. Sure enough about half-way through their set, a victimization. I'm thinking he was a poser who went for the scene, when he should have just went for the tunes and played the back like me. Oh, well, some young punks got to learn the hard way. I left the show that night amazed how they moved the crowd on (...),' & it wasn't long after that I got Ass Cobra & it didn't disappoint. I use to think that Iggy & the Stooges had the hardest play list ever. Now I know its these dudes.

Turbonegro kann alles!:
Every man, woman, and child owns this album. Well they don't, but they definately should. This album is great even before you listen to it- when scratched and sniffed, it smells of pine! Then comes the music...if you don't like sailor men and power lines and lethal Scandinavian punk rock, I think Engelbert Humperdinck has a new album coming out. Maybe after you buy it you can go see the Adam Sandler movie at the movie theater. Otherwisley, get Ass Cobra!! Then get Scandinavian leather!

INCOMPLETE!:
turbonegro rocks, this album was great, except...... epitaph has not included my favorite song "screwed and tattooed" on their re-release! there's something missing from this version of ass cobra.... the complete playlist. don't settle for this big mac of releases, get the original!

BEST ALBUM BY TRBNGR:
In my opionion this is the best album by TRBNGR, it's hard and ruff. You can keep this cd in your cd player and just let it ride. Every track on here is short and sweet and will leave you wanting to hear it again and again. AD is ok if you like a little more glamed up sound but if you want it hard get this album. Buy it now and thank me later!!
