Worship as Only the Newsboys Can Do It:
I've been listening to the Newsboys since I took my daughter to their 'Step Up To The Microphone' concert, where I also heard Third Day for the first time. I've liked them ever since. This CD of worship music is worth having if you like your worship with a modern, driving groove. It's the Newsboys sound for sure. These guys are great in concert and the energy translates here. Don't expect to hear it on Sunday morning, but if you like to have your worship in the car or in the house all week long, you should get this CD.

Two decades in the making... Pet Shop NEWSBOYS:
Finally a worship cd, by an amazing band, that doesn't have to include "God of Wonders" or "Here I Am to Worship". As a musician myself, I love it when a band takes some obscure worship songs and pumps them out so fresh and so clean (clean). "In Christ Alone" and "It is You(live)" can not be contained. As Coldplay and Erasure give their approval, these two worship gems finally become diamonds with Newsboys' rendition. As every reviewer has stated, "Amazing Love" and "He Reigns" (again, two overly played KLOVE tunes) have a warmth and familiarity similar to a Christmas morning. As an 'asian believer' myself, I'm glad my geographic location was finally included into a song ("He Reigns"). But hidden inside this cd are some true worship beauties that give us a reason to sing Hallejulah. With 80's flavor injected into "Great is Your Faithfulness" "Take My Hands (Praises)", and "Hallejulah" we are given by the Holy Spirit himself, three true blue Newsboys worship material. A generation of 80's babies can finally rest easily knowing that Newsboys has a made a cd that doesn't include the title Go West Young Man, Back to the Street, and Age to Age. I can throw away my Innocents cd and bang my steering wheel to "Take My Hands (Praises)" while riding the I5 grind now.

Properly Truly Artistic:
I am not a great fan of "Praise and Worship songs". I do enjoy the Third Day and Rebbeca St. James worship albums. I purchased this album after hearing the Newsboys in concert. I bought the concert tickets to hear Rebecca's concert. This album may be a disappointment to Newsboys fans. It lacks the creative lyrics ie: (Do not serve) Breakfast (in Hell)(my favorite) or the Harder music. It is a performance of Praise and Worship by true Music artist. Generally when performed previously by other artists, I did did not think highly of the prouduct. "It is You" is my favorite song on this recording. I own only two other Newsboys releases cds.

Newsboys:
This is an awesome CD. I saw them preform at Kingsfest recently- I am in awe! What excellent people and what an amazing band. I strongly recommend this CD to anyone! Everytime I hear the song He Reigns, it reminds me just that.

Awesome Album:
I received this album as a gift; and what a gift it was! It's wonderful how much 'Adoration' is offered up to the Lord in this modern musical masterpiece. Though only 10 tracks long, those tracks are strong enough to warrant recurring repeated play. It's hard to pick a favorite from this lot, but coming from an a cappella worship tradition, In Christ Alone strikes a deep, resonating chord within me. Newsboys took this Getty/Townend gem and breathed just a touch of their own rock/pop soul into it. Strip the instrumentals away, and you'd still have a classic and POWERFUL congregational worship song as it was intended to be. It offers just the right counterpoint to the more trendy tracks on the rest of the album. I've enjoyed plenty of 'Good Stuff' from the Newsboys' past releases, and this album continues that tradition in fine form.
