great product!:
I got this for my son for his second birthday. We have had this for a year now. It looks great! its sturdy yet doesnt take up alot of room. I dont like the look of stuffed to-the-top toy chests where kids can hardly ever find anything. I chose this for two reasons. #1 nice looking bins and design with easy organization. # grows along with your kid when u remove the bins for putting books etc. My son has alot of small pieces toys. like puzzle pieces, hot wheel cars, doctor sets...in short all his toys have tiny pieces. AND I have a PLACE for all of them in this bin. one bin is for all the puzzles pieces, one bin is for all the paintts, colors, markers etc, one bin is for all his toy cars (fortunately he is interested in the small ones he has abt 60 hotwheels!), 2 bins hold train tracks,one for legos ..u get the idea! The upper shelves have his books, teddies, fire engines.the bins do look kinda small when u first see them but they do fit alot of things specially since there is space between the top and the bottom. He also takes out the bin he wants carries it around the house to whichever room and clean up is a breeze!u know which toy goes where! and whenever he wants it its easier to find. My son climbs up onthe center all the time and its not very high. ITs stable and safe. Well rounded corners and a great investment. A word of advice for those who have alot of toys. I keep rotating toys so they fit. But we dont have alot of toys that take up all the room. so for those who have a mountain of toys..this will organize some of them them but will not fit all. Also no big toys will fit in here. Overall a little expensive but Nice design, nice color and easily organizable!

great product, could've used help putting it together:
this bookcase looks great in our playroom and is the perfect height for our 2-year-old to put her things away. it hold more than it looks. great quality wood. i read reviews on assembly problems, and if i didn't screw up at step #3 i would've been fine. but i didn't realize i'd put a piece on backwards until i was at the end. had to do the whole thing again- what a backache! but it was worth it and we are really happy with it.

Great storage unit..:
I also read the other reviews before buying...I'm glad that I did! I also had problems with the sides, but I realized that I didn't have the shelves on correctly. Incidentally, I purchased a second one at Toys R Us because I liked it so well. I would highly recommend this for anyone that needs nice looking, well made storage space.

Great for Toys and things!:
We love this for our 10 month old! She can pull the drawers open and get to her toys...I can put them away very easily and nothing ends up at the bottom of the "toy box" forgotten about! It just fits in to our family room as far as "furniture"...maybe not the designer piece but a great solution for toys and books and furry friends.

Good buy:
Simple. Functional. Well-designed. Sturdy. After searching far and wide for a storage shelf not made of plastic that didn't cost an arm and a leg, this fit the bill. All parts were included and it took my husband about an hour to set up, even with two small children in the room.
