Wonderful: My wife and I sat down with our son to watch this dvd. We absolutely loved it. It's one of those dvd's you put in first before all of the other ones because you know that your child loves it over and over again! We loved the concepts of the dvd because none of the other dvd's out there have done anything like this one. There are so many abc videos and animal videos, etc. This teaches a whole new concept in a fun way. The music is excellent too. I really hope this company puts out another product soon.
My nephew LOVED it!: I bought this DVD for my 12 month old nephew who now LOVES Dookie Duck. Every time he sees him on the screen he gets the biggest smile on his face. I wold recommend this DVD for anyone looking for a baby gift. I can't wait for the next one to come out!
LOVED IT!: We have twin girls who are 15 months and they absolutely love the video. They wanted to watch it over and over again. In fact, my daughters have been able to ask for Dookie by name. One of their first words!!!!!!I've since given it to all of our friends expecting babies. Your kids will love it.
Great Shower Gift: I bought this video for my two year old daugter who loves it. I have since purchased it for all of my friends having babies and would not recommend anything else. I have over 30 videos in my home and my daughter watches this video more than any other. The music is delightful and the video is very entertaining! I've worn it out so much that I've bought another copy. I've also got Baby Prodigy's new CD which is wonderful as well! We look forward to the next one!
Cheesy at best: I don't write a lot of reviews, but this DVD is so bad I wanted others to save their money. I purchased this DVD at a $5 clearance sale at walmart and felt I paid too much for it! It is the most amateur attempt at film-making I've ever seen-anyone with a video camera could do a better job. The "set" looks like a simple table top with a fabric drape. The main character is a simple hand puppet which always shows up from the side (ie. no appropriate puppet stage is used.) The whole movie is a series of random scenes of toys-most look like they've been purchased at the dollar store. But what I found a bit disturbing is the scene where they set up a hot plate to melt ice into water in a pan. I'm not sure I want my kids getting the message that it's OK to play with the stove. If I could have given this 0 stars I would have done so-I can't believe others have rated it so highly. (...).
