"Dance Mania" Again: After years of looking through CD bins in search of this title, and only coming up with the commonplace "Volume 1," I was delighted to see that Tito Puente's "Dance Mania Volume 2" had finally been reissued. Well it certainly was worth the wait because now it's available at a budget price to boot! Both of the "Dance Mania" Volumes are an essential look at the classic Afro-Cuban music of late 1950s and early 1960s. "Volume 2" boasts classic cuts like "A Gozar Timbero," "Guancona," "Separala Tambien" and "Baila Como Es." You have to be dead not to feel this multi-layered rhythmic groove, but the musicianship of Tito Puente and His Orchestra is also spectacular, so it appeals to both your mind and body. You'll be dancing in the streets after purchasing "Dance Mania Volume 2."
