[.ca] Wake Up Jeff

From Amazon.co.uk:
If the songs on Wake Up Jeff! don't rouse the tired, purple-shirted Wiggle, nothing will. As kooky a Wiggles affair as ever, this CD boasts the boisterous sounds of "Henry's Underwater Big Band", in which a jelly fish drums, a walrus hums, and an electric eel plugs in; a lot of splishing and splashing on "Swim, Swim, Swim" and "Having Fun at the Beach"; and "Romp Bomp a Stomp" and "Bing Bang Bong", both as rollicking as they sound. Besides the sleepyhead-stirring songs, though, there's a handful of old favourites (the traditional, tongue-twisting "Bucket of Dew/Paddy Condon from Cobar," plus "A Frog Went a Walking", "Five Little Ducks", and "Pipers Waltz") and two original tunes whose lyrics demand a careful listen: "Guess What" quizzes kids with questions like "What's really cool and keeps things very cold?/It's white and it's where your food can live" then "What's really soft and very warm too?/It's got a place to lay your head." Musically, this disc, like all the others by this group of goofball Aussies, traffics heavily in grooviness. Think of the Wiggles as The Monkees for munchkins. Fans of the foursome who caught the companion video and loved it should take a shining to this CD for its addition of 12 new tracks. For that matter, so, too, should anybody who's under 5 and predisposed to wiggling. --Tammy La Gorce

Fabulous for Car Trips:
If you have ever seen a Wiggles video you know that these guys have a lot of fun doing what they do - entertaining kids by singing catchy songs and dancing some pretty groovy dance moves. None of their enthusiasm for their music or entertaining is lost on a cd. My girls (13 months and 2.5 years) love the Wiggles and I often put on a cd in the lounge room while they were playing for background music. They play in time to the music. But the best place of all for a Wiggles CD is in your car! If you have cranky kids who just don't want to be in their carseats - stick this cd (or make a tape of it) on and your kids will be singing along in no time. And so will you - the songs are so catchy. And my girls have proved that many of the dance moves can be done while strapped in a car seat (they remember them from the video!). Try it - you're kids will love it.

We just love the Wiggles...:
my daughter, who is 17 months old, loves to watch the Wiggles shows and videos, so I decided to buy her some of the music. I chose this one because she loves when they have to wake Jeff up. It was a hit from the moment we got it. She loves to go into her bedroom, have me turn the music on, and then she dances from start to finish. Many times we have to start the music again. I think it is great that she tries to imitate the moves that the Wiggles do in the videos as well as describe in their songs. This is a must have.

This is Wigglicious:
What can we say??? Our thirteen year old and our seventeen year old can't get enough of these wickedly wonderful wiggly tunes. If only all dinosaurs could be as nice as Dorothy, all dogs as waggly wonderful as Wags, and all Captains' as considerate as Captain Featherswood, the world would be a better place for all of us. So rock on Wiggly, we'll never outgrow you.

One of their best:
My 4 year old son is a real Wiggles fan. On a recent driving holiday, we forgot to pack CDs for our rental car, so purchased this. He loved it and after 10 days on the road we are all word perfect. It has a good mix of up beat songs and our son's hands down favourite is "Wake Up Jeff." I would definately recommend this one. If you have a preschooler and have not heard of the Wiggles, buy one of their CDs. Not only do the kids love it, but the music also appeals to the parents.

A Wiggly hit!!:
This cd is awesome!! There is music from the wake up Jeff video and some others along with music you can only hear on this cd. The music is simple and catchy and fun to dance and sing along to. The wiggles have made car rides a dream now that my 18 mos old can listen to the wiggles instead of just crying.
