It sounds like a premise potentially fraught with angst and trauma, but in reality Gilmore Girls was one of the freshest, airiest, most enjoyable shows to air on the perpetually melodramatic WB network, critically praised once viewers got hooked on its unique brand of humor. Rory's growing-up adventures, including her acclimation to snooty Chilton and romance with townie dreamboat Dean (Jared Padalecki), gave the show a teen-friendly feel, but Gilmore Girls was anchored in the adult by the luminous Graham, a brilliant comedic leading lady who could turn dramatic on a dime and never break stride. The show's hallmark was its rat-a-tat, whipsmart dialogue, delivered perfectly by Graham and Bledgel, as well as a host of wacky supporting characters who would go on to become invaluable cast members. The best way to repair/create a mother daughter relationship:
I started watching Gilmore Girls from day one! The fun, surprising characters and scripts really hooked me in as a lifer! The show is sweet and creative and the dvd set is worth every penny. The story line is excellent and always moving, with the help of the quick talking Lauren Graham as the lead, Lorelai Gilmore. The average person can actually learn a lot of little world facts that the shows creator, Amy Sherman Palladino, works into the scripts. It really is a show that never gets boring and I personally am able to watch each episode over and over and still find new things in each!

If you love the first season, here comes the second!:
Finally! They have announced that the second season of the Gilmore Girls will be released on December 7th, 2004. Hopefully, the company who produces the DVDs will get it right this time, and not leave the Canadian consumers without important material like the enclosed booklet this time! On the DVD set, there will be great things like : * Deleted Scenes * International Success - a look at Gilmore Girls in various territories. * A Film by Kirk * Gilmore Goodies & Gossip: On-screen factiods appear during one episode * Who Wants To Argue: A montage of season two's greatest fights I am hoping that Amazon will list the set and price soon, so that I can preorder and then sit back and wait with anticipation!

Good Show all around:
This show is amazing, the relationship between the mother and daughter is one only for tv obviously. I think this would be every mother and daughters dream relationship. I enjoyed watching the shows beginning, seeing how it all started. i have been catching episodes on and off for a few years, never really getting too involved, though i have to say from what i've seen of this coming season Rory isn't taking a good turn. My biggest complaint with this set is the lack of extra features. There are NO commentary's at all, and very few behind the scenes stuff. The quality is great, some due to the fact that there are 6 disks. This quiet little town draws you into their world, and you'll love being there!

Nice, romantic, funny mother-daughter show:
I was pleasantly surprized by this mother-daughter show. It's really thrilling play. Very nice actors, nice dialogs. Good fillings of the nice small town and relationship between people. I think it was very nice time expenditure for me. Thanks everyone for this DVD set!!! Just love it so much!!! Waiting for other seasons :)

Great Opening Season:
Wow, this season was really good. I love all the rapid fire talking and the refrences. The characters and cast are amazing. This is definitely one of my favorite seasons. I really like Rory and Lorelai the best in this season. If you don't own it you don't know what your missing. A spectacular series altogether. Great to watch with your mom! :)
