Fresh and bright, the Switch 3 Corfu dinnerware pattern from Villeroy & Boch brings a bit of the outdoors inside. With repetitive leaf motifs, refreshing clusters of lemons, and wandering ivy vines, this collection is perfect for eating al fresco or adding a sense of cheer to the indoors. Crisp white backgrounds offset the saturated greens, blues, and yellows used to adorn each piece, while a sponge-like effect softens the colors. Mix-and-match with Switch 3, Switch 3 Castell, Switch 3 Cordoba, or Switch 3 Costa to create a truly unique collection. A potted lemon tree with wandering ivy decorates the serving area of each salad plate in this set of six. Measuring 8-1/4 inches in diameter, bands of periwinkle blue, canary yellow, and celadon green edge the rim of each plate. The recurring leaf pattern enhances the fresh, outdoors feel, while also adding depth to the blue ring of color. Crafted from vitrified porcelain to ensure durability, all Villeroy & Boch tableware pieces are resilient enough to be placed in the dishwasher and microwave. Pros: 1) Very durable - they handle all sorts of abuse in our household including getting banged into the faucet while being washed. 2) The ability to mix and match the corresponding patterns is nice. If I get tired of a particular design, I can simply change it. 3) These dishes are dishwasher and microwave safe. 4) The patterns are very versatile and are perfect for both everyday use and for formal occasions. This is great for households with limited storage - instead of two sets of dishes (one everyday, one formal), you only need one set and just switch around your table accessories. Cons: 1) This isn't really a "con" per se, but a warning: These are microwave safe, but be careful! We microwaved something one time and I guess we set the time for two long, because when the food became superheated it literally cracked the plate it was on (note: it was not the Cordoba salad plate). When we took the plate back to the store, we were advised that nothing is entirely "microwave safe" and you just have to be careful. Just thought you should know... Overall, I would highly recommend any Villeroy & Boch set, based on our very positive experience with our set. ENJOY!
