From Amazon.com: Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson--dark, wiry, and tense meets blond, lanky, and loose--make a solid comic team (and previously appeared together in Zoolander), but the funniest man in Starsky and Hutch is Vince Vaughn. Vaughn dives into his role as a sleazy drug dealer (who nonetheless buys a pony for his daughter's bat mitzvah) with the offhand zest that he brings to almost every role (from Swingers to Old School) and effortlessly steals every scene he's in. Vaughn has concocted a new and undetectable kind of cocaine, and only two cops who aren't afraid to break the rules--our titular pair--can catch him. But the plot isn't the point; mocking-yet-loving jabs at the '70s, including the homoerotic overtones of Starsky and Hutch's partnership, are what this movie is about. The satire is surprisingly mild but entertaining nonetheless, particularly when Vaughn or Snoop Dogg (as informant Huggy Bear) hold the screen. --Bret Fetzer
eh...: It has its moments. Problem is, they are kind of few and far between. This movie is right along the same lines as something like Joe Dirt - it's something to watch when you have nothing else to watch. Also, the retro 70's thing is getting a little old.
ONE OF THE BEST MOVIE EVER: STARSKY AND HUTCH IS A VERY GOOD MOVIE. LOL FUNNY.I THINK IT WAS COLL TO HAVE SNOOP DOG PLAY HUGGY BEAR.I WOULD GIVE THIS MOVIE 5 STARS BECAUSE IT'S A GOOD MOVIE FOR ANY BODY.(BUY THIS MOVIE)
Yup, just not that funny.: Worth a chuckle if on TV late at night, but that's about it. Not a huge let down, but you expect more. Just not "zany" as it wants to be. The DVD extras are fairly lame as well, as most DVD supplements are becoming. If you really want it... buy it used from some rental outlet.
One of the worst films I have EVER seen.: This is a crappy film. Not funny at all and totally different from the original TV show. Do not watch. Save your cash for King Kong.
A TOTAL DUD: Could they have picked any 2 worse actors in america?...Ben Stiller isnt funny at all...EVER and neither is Owen Wilson but yet they both try so hard. These two losers are a joke and this movie sucks. I only gave this stupid sh*t one star because I had to and simply because a lower rate isnt available, BUT it should be. Dont watch this movie these two arent funny and Snoop Dogg man I like ya my man but do us all a favor and just stick to the rap game. Acting isnt your thing nor was it ever
