Brilliantly Live at the Apollo:
Pop Princess Kylie Minogue shyed away from a tour for her "Body Language" album, and chose, rather, to launch the album with a live "extravaganza" for her fans in a more intimate theatre. Just because the venue is small, though, does not limit the production value. Kylie enjoys the opportunity to give audience members a first peek at new album tracks from "Body Language," opening with "Still Standing," and working all the way through new and "older" hits. Expect huge video screens, flying, a full live band, a bevy of dancers, and of course, all live vocals from Miss Minogue. The show is visually stunning, taking full advantage of the extensive video screens to make up for a "simple" set. The show incorporates the darker stylization of the Kyliefever2002 tour and contrasts it with bright, energetic colours in different sections. Kylie and her team give a non-stop energetic performance, beautifully stitched together with visuals and music. Special features include a behind the scenes documentary (showing design elements of the show), projections/alternate angles (limited areas), and two music videos. A good package!
