From Amazon.com: Truth, identity, and responsibility are the cornerstones of Smallville's exceptional third season. When viewers left Clark (Tom Welling) at the end of season 2, he was feeling his oats in Metropolis with the help of a red Kryptonite ring, but by the opening of season 3, he must return to Smallville to not only help his parents save their farm, but seek some resolution in his relationships with Lana (Kristin Kreuk) and Lex (Michael Rosenbaum), who's returned from his abandonment at the conclusion of the previous season. Lex himself must deal with some shocking revelations regarding his relationship with his sinister father Lionel (John Glover, magnetic as always), and Lana becomes involved with a new figure in town, the mysterious Adam Knight (Lost's Ian Somerholder), who may or may not be a certain caped crusader. And speaking of heroes in disguise, the season's finale introduces Kara, a young woman with powers similar to Clark's--could she in fact be his sister, known best to comic book fans as Supergirl? Season 3 is chock full of such intriguing moments, including an appearance by future Daily Planet editor Perry White (Michael McKean, the real-life husband of series star Annette O'Toole) in "Perry," helmed by Supergirl film director Jeannot Szwarc; the return of villains Jonathan Taylor Thomas, Shawn Ashmore, and Jesse Metcalfe from seasons 1 and 2 (in "Asylum"); the departure of series regular Samuel L. Jones; and a intrigue-fraught final turn by Christopher Reeve as Dr. Swann ("Legacy"). The boxed set matches the high quality of the season with some terrific extras, including commentary on three episodes by series creators Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, along with Rosenbaum, Allison Mack (Chloe), and Glover. Gough and Millar also contribute commentary to a battery of deleted scenes, and Mack's "Chloe Chronicles" returns for another go-round. The supplemental features are rounded out by a behind-the-scenes featurette, an amusing gag reel, and an Easter egg with Rosenbaum conducting some offbeat interviews. --Paul Gaita
it keeps on getting better: Smallville season 3 is amazing so far... I take my time watching... I'm halfway through, but it gets better everytime i watch it. Season 1 and 2 were awesome and so is the 3rd. Tom Welling is great as Clark as usual, Lana is excellent and Lex and Lionel are the 2 best actors on television right now guaranteed. This is a must buy for everyone, along with season's 1 and 2! It's amazing!!!
Superman Rules!!!: For all you super fan's out there, this is not to be missed!!! The saga for Clark continues... This series is so good I even shaved my head and named my puppies Lex and Kalel!!!!
The best season of Smallville: If you haven't seen this show, give it a try. The creators/writers have tweaked the Superman mythology and given it an exciting and intriguing infusion of new life. This season is the darkest of the four on DVD and is the best of the bunch. Every episode is good, and many of them are stellar, particularly "Exile" (the premiere with Clark still strung out on red kryptonite and Tom Welling giving an outstanding performance as the devil-may-care Clark-under-the-influence) and "Memoria" (a brilliant episode that contributes to the complexity of the Lex Luthor character and is one of the best episodes in the entire series). Admittedly, the Clark-Lana relationship rollercoaster in this season seems to drive some fans crazy, but if you like Smallville, you need to own this set. The extras are pretty decent and the gag reel is hilarious. I heard there is even an Easter egg, but I haven't found it yet.
Incredible show for the whole family!: This show has such a great cast, especially Tom Welling as Clark Kent. He is such a talented and intelligent actor. So is Michael Rosenbaum as Lex, great acting! The writing is outstanding, but the cast is what makes this show one of the best out there! At first I thought, I've seen enough of Superman movies, don't need this. But my son kept bugging me to buy the first season, and that I would love this series. Well, I'm certainly glad that he bugged me enough to peek my interest. As he knows me, I love this show and will buy all seasons coming up without hesitation. All this to say that this is not your regular Superman show. It's a lot more and believe me, you will not be disappointed with your purchase.
