after many years of being a fan of age of electric, and then the short lived static in stereo, i was quite excited to hear todd kerns'(lead vocalist of the aforementioned bands) first solo release. i must say i am very impressed! for those who were lucky enough to have experienced a.o.e. in the early to mid 90's this is a wonderful return to that sound and enthusiasm. although i also enjoyed static in stereo, i felt it somewhat lacked the 'edge' of earlier age of electric. this album is todd's true return to rock n roll. it is a very energetic album with hooks big enough to catch a marlin. the $9.99 price tag is an added bonus as this album is worthy of many repeated lessons(in the past week i have probably played it 15 times). in a time of downloading music, todd has released, and priced an album, worth owning. as one of the great canadian artists, it is somewhat shocking that he has yet to beak worldwide. this release has the ability to do just that. if your looking for an album that captures the essence of what true rock music should sound like, this one is for you.
