She understands how to make the most of her limited vocal range, choosing to surround herself with able producers Rodney Jerkins, Timbaland, Big Boi and Cory Rooney, who oversaw Lopez's first album, On the 6. The mix makes Rebirth far more enjoyable than it should be, coasting on midnight-groove ballads and polished dance tracks. Lopez's fourth studio album offers little insight into her much-gossiped-about persona, but it's an undeniably fun ride anyway. A blaring James Brown horn riff drills first single "Get Right" into your head almost immediately, and soon enough, you'll find yourself bopping to the beat. The Middle-Eastern flavor of "Step Into My World" is undeniably seductive, and it's actually enhanced by Lopez's wisp of a voice. "Whatever You Wanna Do" and "Cherry Pie" are solid dance tracks, the kind of grooves Janet Jackson made before she became a Superbowl afterthought. Elsewhere, the album is peppered with R & B ballads, much like Lopez's 2002 opus, This Is Me ... Then. Rebirth is hardly a groundbreaking affair, but it continues to showcase Lopez's skillful trend of producing solid, catchy, R & B-laced records. Nothing here ever sounds forced or canned, and in the world of MTV and radio edits, maybe that does make Lopez a bit of a revolutionary after all. --Joey Guerra

better then "this is me... then" (3.5 stars):
This is definalty better then her last album, but she can still do better in my opinion. the 2nd single "hold you down" is not getting much play on t.v or radio, probably because it`s the worst song on the cd. there is not enough fast songs on this album if u ask me. I think jennifer should of taken more time to put out a better album. I gave this 3 & a half stars, because there are some good songs and this cd is still alot better then her last. 1) Get Right: 1st single, good club song but getting kinda old and over played. 8.5/10 2) Step Into My World: My favorite song on the cd! very different for jennifer, but in a good way. great music and vocals. 10/10 3) Hold You Down: my least favorite song. she`s not doing very good with this one. way too slow. 4/10 4) Whatever You Wanna Do: this song is pretty good, nice beats and music. 8/10 5) Cherry Pie: good song, pretty catchy with a cool beat. 8/10 6) I Got U: I don`t really like this song, sounds like something from her last album. Too slow and boring. 6/10 7) Still Around: again, sounds like a song from the last cd. just too boring. 6/10 8) Ryde Or Die: Very cool song! great beat and music with catchy lyrics. one of the best songs on the album. 9.5/10 9) I, Love: another good song. cool beat, cool music and very different in a good way. 8.5/10 10) He'll Be Back: pretty cool song. slow but not bad. 8/10 11) (Can`t Believe) This Is Me: this song really stands out from the rest. very powerful and haunting, Good song. 8.5/10 12) Get Right (Featuring Fabolous) rap don`t fit in this song so the original is better. 4/10 total time: 48:17 total score: 85%

something new from jennifer. this c.d is something that is great to listen to even when it get's old jennifer has made a timless c.d with diffrent sound's and had an open mind to go for a higher notes, which makes the c.d lots of fun to listen to a must have c.d!!

J Lo. stop singing:
How on earth this woman is still "making music" is beyond me. During an interview, she did not even recognize her own remix...

j is low:
Back with her new album or shall I say back with the old. Theres nothing here from j-lo that we havent heard before. The songs are feturing the same old artist again. I only recomend this to fans and people who never heard of j-lo beofore:)

Jennifer Lopez Rocks!!:
Ok she went for some diffrent styles and it worked for sure!! This songs are hip funk and theres a little bit of a middle eastern sound on 2 songs!! The last song (Can Believe) This Is Me is amazing her voice is amazing!! Very much improved!! This album has been very under estimated but its amazing!!
