Wow - this is what i call a comeback:
Ya ya i know, their 'comeback' album after an eight year absence was 'Get Ready', but that was merely shaking the rust off in comparison to this effort. Waiting for the Sirens' Call is easily their second best album of all time (Technique can't be touched). Beautiful melodies, great production, and Peter Hook's amazing bass work come together to show case a band that sounds like they are just hitting their stride. I know that sounds ridiculous to a long time New Order fan, but would a newbie know otherwise? Would they be able to guess that their members are almost 50 yrs old and have been around as a group for almost 30 yrs (including Joy Division)? No way. While some bands around for this long end up embarrassing themselves, New Order sound fresh and have put together their most cohesive effort. Not a dud in the bunch. No excuses or "hey they sound pretty good considering.." This work stands on its own. Who's Joe? was one of my favourite songs 2005. Turn, Morning Night & Day, ....k, i'll stop. New Order fans, music fans - get this CD and give it repeated listens!

New Order- Waiting For The Siren's Call- Review:
New Order follows up "Get Ready" with a big hit. W.F.T.S.C is an amazing album, and here it is broken down; 1- Who's Joe- Good Question, but this song is a great opener and is very good with Peter Hook's Bass Riff.5/5 2- Hey Now What You Doing- Great song with a constant beat that keeps on going.4/5 3- Waiting For The Siren's Call- This would be my least favorite song on the album, but it is good no doubt about it 4/5 4- Krafty- The first single and it has a great beat with great simple lyrics by Bernard. Really stands out. 4.5/5 5- I Told You So- This song speaks for itself and the beat just makes you want to dance! 5/5 6- Morning Night And Day- Sounds Really good and theres nothing bad about it! more great lyrics and smooth riffs. 4/5 7- Dracula's Castle- AMAZING! the CD's climax and is very stong one of the best on the album! 5/5 8- Jetstream- This Song makes you get up and can turn that frown upside down...its so good and catchey! 5/5 9- Guilt Is A Usless Emotion- This Song again makes you want to dance, this one it again one of the best and you wont want it to end! 4.5/5 10- Turn- This is probibally the best because its not over-done and its so smooth and easy to listen to! 5/5 11- Working Overtime- great beat and it get you motivated and its a great way to close off an amazing album! 4.5/5 Waiting for the siren's call is a must have if your a New Order fan and this is a CD that you will never get bord of and you can listen to it over and over again! and its a great $14 spent if you love music!

New Order has forgotten how to make Music!:
Being an Avid New Order fan I am always excited to hear anything new from them. Sadly, I have to say "New Order has forgotten how to make music! The Tracks sound if they were rushed and put together like spaghetti, with the exception of one track, the rest are terrible, save your money. New Order needs to bring back the one band member that is missing from this album, the lady, it really shows how much she influenced their music. Waiting for the next album please.

New Order Rules Even At The Young Ages:
Now i heard New Order from my dad, and i hated it, and he made me listen to "Get Ready" after a few listens i was in love with the music so i went and got "W.F.T.S.C" and it blew me away, from the extactic "who's joe" to the ending of "working overtime" at a young age kids like me should be in love with bands like Green Day! but i hate Green Day!!!! and New Order is the best. 50 year old guys can still make music that influences young kids, they should keep on going! there is nothing wrong with this CD and it must be in your shelves to have a complete music collection.

Good to Have:
Synth Pop is back in fashion again today although New Order are the one's who set this craze in motion. "Blue Monday" is their infamous track and it is a solid track people keep spinning even today many years later. This album is some thing that would appeal to fans of The Killers, Dada Pogrom, Depeche Mode and Joy Division. I really like "Guilt is a Useless Emotion" and "Hey now what are you doing".
