From Amazon.com: MTV's reality series about the joys and challenges of juggling a relationship with rising celebrity kicks into a higher gear in seasons 2 and 3 now that Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey have a year of marriage under their belts. With both of them--separately and together--in heavy demand in Atlantic City, at photo shoots, surf meets, parades, football games, movie auditions, television and radio shows, and more, the couple have a hard time finding energy to be together. In the 20 episodes included in the Newlyweds: Nick & Jessica: The Complete Second and Third Seasons boxed set, there are several instances in which the pair go to some lengths to find private time: attending the Kentucky Derby, traveling to be with family over Christmas holidays, and taking a skiing trip that doesn't work out so well for poor Nick. Meanwhile, Nick and Jessica have to contend with aggressive paparazzi and fans, exhausting hours under hot lights, Jessica's pushy father-manager, and interpersonal conflicts when Jessica's best friend (and personal assistant) moves in with the couple. Compensating for all those trying times, however, is the duo's obvious devotion to one another, made clear through several elaborate, celebratory gestures each makes toward the other. Even if one doesn't find either Nick or Jessica to be particularly stimulating company, or find the process of turning somewhat talented people into larger-than-life celebrities to be interesting, the fly-on-the-wall documentary approach of Newlyweds quickly becomes irresistible to the voyeur in everyone. --Tom Keogh
I LOVE NICK AND JESSICA: This dvd is really good I would recommend it for all the fans of the show! Although MTV did trick us by splitting up season 2 into two seasons. According to MTV season 2 is when Nick and Jessica celebrated their 1st year anniversary until the Valentine's Day episode, and Season 3 is from when Cacee moves in with the newlyweds up to the last episode where Jessica kicks off her new tour. So there is still SEason 4 dvd coming out (Where Jessica get's a dog, Daisy and does the Dukes of Hazzard movie). All in all, I love this dvd. It has waaaaaaaaay more special features than the first one, it has the extra special episode of "Happy Birthday Jess, love Nick" As well as a bunch of deleted scenes, and an MTV timeline of the Newlyweds. I'm just super happy that I finally was able to watch Season 3 which is where MuchMusic cut off showing Newlyweds in Canada, and where MTV canada picked it up. I can't wait for the last and final dvd SEason 4, I hope it will have as much special features as this dvd!
False Advertising: This DVD really isn't the "complete" season(s). I have watched all the episodes on the DVD's and I am now watching on feeds out of Vancouver episodes from Season 2/3 that were not included on this set. It shouldn't be advertised as complete when it's anything but. Not Amazon's fault though. That is why it gets only three stars from me. Had it been accurate and included all the episodes (and I have no clue why it doesn't) then it would have got a better rating from me.
Nothing but .......AWESOME!!!!!!!!!: All I have to say is Newlyweds was the best reality show out there. And it's to bad that its over, but I think it was time for Nick and Jessica to have there life back. Plus if we really miss them then we can just pop in the DVD and watch them over and over again:) Really looking forward to Season 4 which comes out in December. I would recommend this DVD to all the Jessica fans who love to watch her. To me she is very down to earth and normal, and I'm glad that they did Newlyweds, cause it gave us a chance to see the real side of them both. I Absolutely love them both, and I think they are perfect for eachother. Hope to see them in the future doing stuff together. Luv ya guys!!!!
LOVE THIS SHOW: Personally I love this show. Nick and Jessica are great together and I miss them. However this case says seasons two and three. When I got this I was disappointed because it was only season two. I was unaware that this was only one season otherwise I wouldn't have paid as much for it. However, this show is great, just have to buy the other season.
