The Army Has Arrived.: Once again amazon gets the track list wrong. 8 years ago Vinnie Paz got a couple of unknowns and dropped a 12" that got the underground community hungry. Fast forward to the present and we now see a CD so sought after, lines are being drawn to Wu-Tang status. With production that is dark, fierce, hot and even emotional at times one cannot help but think this CD is somethng special. High end producers such as 7L and Shuko don't disappoint and the new cats from Europe aren't bad either. Sadly, Stoupe is not on the project. One can only wait for his instrumental and the 5th JMT CD (Servants in Heaven, Kings in Hell) for his genius. They will tell you it's old school boom-bap rap, all you need to know is that the AOTP CD lives up to the wait. Tracklist: 1. Battle Cry (Sets the tone; prepare for fire) 2. Gorillas (Back in the day reflection track, sounds like a track that would be on a 7L/Eso LP) 3. Henry the 8th (Crazy beat! Reef stands out, this beat was made for him) 4. Pull the Pins Out (Dark anthem. Celph is a lyrical demon here & Eso RIPS it) 5. Tear it Down (Turn the volume up, this one is a banger!) 6. Into the Arms of Angels (Emotional track, very nice production) 7. The Torture Papers (Odd rock beat, sounds like a track fit for a Demigodz LP) 8. Listen Up (Celph does his thing, nice hook) 9. All Shall Perish (Bring it back! Kamachi shines - Q-Demented takes it home) 10. Wrath of Gods (Such a Demigodz track, Apathy was made for this beat) 11. Narrow Grave (BEST BEAT EVER! CONSTANT LOOP!) 12. Feast of Wolves (Raise the volume, roll the windows down. Banger!) 13. King Among Kings (Darkest track ever, lyrical venom) Assemble the underground's finest, put them over insane creative beats, and you have a classic. 5 out of 5 no question. No interludes, no self-promotion, just straight rap. What more can you ask for? If you love underground, get this CD If you love fierce beats, get this CD If you love deadly lyrics, get this CD If you love the old school days of rap without the bling hype... GET THIS CD!
this is gonna be the dopest album of 2006: after hearing the single and the demos so far, this album is gonna set a standard for hip-hop, outerspace, vinnie paz, 7l & esoteric, celph titled what more could you want? i usually don't even buy cd's with the magic of the internet these days, but i already got this pre-ordered
Straight Fire.: Once again amazon gets the track list wrong. The AOTP CD features such fire tracks as Tear It Down, Battle Cry & King Among Kings. Production by 7L and Shuko is dark yet fierce at the same time. For you die hards, Stoupe is no where to be found. Possibly saving the real fire for his instrumental release and the next JMT CD. If you love underground, get this CD If you love fierce beats, get this CD If you love deadly lyrics, get this CD If you love the old school days of rap without the bling hype... GET THIS CD!
