Great Sound: Sheryl Crow has consistently proven herself a talented musician and song writer. This is a good cd with great sound. Since I picked up Wildflower when it came out in 2005, there are now two additional editions. The deluxe edition includes a bonus DVD with seven acoustic tracks: Where Has All the Love Gone, Letter to God, I Know Why, Perfect Lie, Lifetimes, Good Is Good, and Always on Your Side. It also has the video for "Good Is Good." The bonus tracks edition adds an Always On Your Side remix as a bonus track. The standard cut of Always On Your Side is included as with the original edition as well. It'll be hard to pick a favorite, but you still will really like each and every song.
Sheryl Crow - Wildflower: A good album, but too short. At just over 45 minutes, there's another 15-20 minutes room for more music. Still, I like the this CD and her second release. Cmon Cmon, Globe Sessions and her debut album were largely built around a few singles. When 'Wildflower' ends, I want to hear more and it feels short.
Another success for Sheryl: Sheryl Crow has consistently been releasing great music over the past number of years, and here is another super one to add to the collection. In fact, I would have to say that this is her best CD yet. I have thoroughly been enjoying this one since I got it last year, and there isn't a single song that I have any complaints with. "Good Is Good" is still one of my favourite songs - it has such a great melody and superb vocals. I'm sure most people have heard "Always On Your Side", the stunningly beautiful duet with Sting. I know there have been a couple of versions of the CD released, but the one I have has a different version of that song. It is just a solo performance, but it is still gorgeous nonetheless. Other highlights on this CD are "I Know Why" and "I Don't Wanna Know". I would definitely recommend this CD. It is filled with enjoyable, catchy songs, and Sheryl's vocals are in very fine form.
Wildflower: Sheryl delivers a great CD, all songs are good with no fillers. The second single "Always On Your Side" is better without sting in my opinion, his voice ruins this unique song. It's just much more pure with her alone. but anyway, here's my ratings on the songs. 1. I Know Why: 9.5/10 (Very Catchy) 2. Perfect Lie: 7/10 (Least Favorite) 3. Good Is Good: 10/10 (1st Single) 4. Chances Are: 10/10 (Very Unique) 5. Wildflower: 9.5/10 (Really Nice. Different) 6. Lifetimes: 10/10 (Catchy And More Up-Beat Then The Previous) 7. Letter To God: 10/10 (Great Song, A Stand Out) 8. Live It Up: 10/10 (Most Up-Beat. Excellent Tune!) 9. I Don't Wanna Know: 10/10 (Excellent Song, One Of My Favorites) 10. Always On Your Side: 10/10 (Awesome Song! A Definate Stand Out) 11. Where Has All The Love Gone: 10/10 (Cool Song. Fun/Happy Sounding Despite The Title. Overall Score: 9.64/10 Keep The Good Music Comming Sheryl!
The Best!: I think this is Sheryl Crow's best CD....it is thought provoking, gentle, loving and showcases her voice and amazing musicanship ability. It sits right beside my other favorite CD of hers The Globe Sessions but for different reasons as they are each unique in their own way. I think really that the older she gets the better she is vocally & as a musician....thankyou Don Henley for encouraging her to go it on her own as an artist! You will love this CD......so hurry......buy it!
