This is a recording of one of the few solo show's Richard Manuel did. It is a great sounding CD. A large part of the show is just Richard's voice and keyboard playing. But he is also joined by ex Band members Rick Danko and Jimmy Weider. The real highlite of this CD is Richard's voice. It's not as strong as it once was and some songs he has trouble with the high notes but you will never hear another voice that is as lived in as Richard's. The versions of "You Don't Know Me" and "Hard Times" will make the hair on the back of your neck stand up. On a personal note. It is really nice to hear Richard joking around and laughing in between songs. I would much rather have this as my last memory of Richard then him taking his life in that Flordia hotel room. Richard the world could use your voice now.
