[.ca] Analogue

Best album since Scoundrel Days:
A solid, mature piece of work -- their best song-writing and best produced release since 1986's Scoudrel Days. The three singles ("Cosy Prisons," "Celice," and "Analogue") are quite strong, but there are many other excellent tracks included here. Produced (mostly) by Martin Terefe and mixed by Flood, sonically it's one of the best releases of 2005, with some of the more adventurous moments hidden within quiter songs. Worthwhile checking out for those of you who can check your biases at the door. Not what one might expect from a band many see as uncool, 80s one-hit wonders.

Solid CD, several good tracks:
This is a very good CD. Celice and Analogue are the two stand out tracks on the CD, however other songs like Halfway Through The Tour and Don't Do Me Any Favours are also strong. Analogue is a top 15 hit in the UK right now. Hopefully their success there can carry over to North America and a-Ha can go on tour again. FYI: to see an a-Ha related video, go to www.youtube.com and do a serach on a-ha and family guy. It's pretty funny.
