Maximum DPMs!:
I had the original VHS tapes for all 3 SuperSlams, and they were epic. Classics in the truest sense. I'm so glad that NBA Entertainment has re-released the collection on one DVD. As soon as it was announced, I placed my order and the disc doesn't disappoint. The original SuperSlams VHS box touted, "Maximum DPMs" (dunks per minute) and they're not kidding around. All 3 SuperSlams features are packed with ferocious rim-rattling slams as only players in the 80's and early 90's could do. These aren't wimpy Dwyane-Wade-all-alone-on-a-fast-break dunks; these are Dominique-Wilkins-dunking-on-four-players-with-2-seconds-left-in-a-tied-game dunks. Players in the 80's and early 90's knew how to bring the thunder, and these DVDs showcase it all to some cheesy 80's synth soundtracks. I highly recommend this DVD to anyone who likes dunks and has an appreciation for the classics.
