Eureka! A good anime-based game: Alright, I must admit, I originally bought this game not because of the content but because it was Eureka seveN. Period. I didn't care if the game was good or bad, as long as I could see the characters. I was pretty wrong, though. First off, you will NOT see much of the main characters. The main character is Sumner, some random guy who joins the military to ride an LFO, because he believes it will make him strong-hearted. He says a bunch of weird, kind of dumb things throughout the game, but it IS funny sometimes. You get to see Holland and Moondoggie when they were younger and a glimpse of Eureka(and I do say a GLIMPSE) at some point, but you can't play as them at any time. Now, for the game, there are 4 different kinds:fist-fight,lifting,ground LFO and flying LFO. The fist-fighting really isn't that good. The system is lacking, it is very basic and sometimes glitchy; if you want a fist-fight game, stop reading this and change pages to Mortal Kombat or something of the sort NOW. Lifting is fun; it isn't badly made but it is sometimes easy and a bit simplistic(not many combos, no special techniques...). The LFO ground fighting is well made: you don't have many combos but you get to buy many different weapons, which makes this part even up for the lack in everything else. Also there are various kinds of ennemies, adding to the replay value. Now, for the best part of the game, the flying LFOs. This is by far the greatest thing; the colors are amazing, the difficulty goes from easy to really hard and, I mean, how can big robots on surf-board look-alikes can not be fun? The only downside is that this only comes at the very end of the game(but you can do many other harder missions in mission mode, where you can skip all the cut-scenes!). When you're not fighting, you will be doing outside missions that go as so: -Random person:There are problems in ... place. Sumner, go check it out! -Sumner: Okay! WHAT? THAT WAS RURI?! (she is girl he likes that he can never recognize even though all she has done is let her hair grow and put on a pair of short-shorts) You can figure out the rest. In the end, this is a great game for fans; you won't be disappointed by this, as long as you're a patient person and love the idea of being part of the Eureka seveN world.
