Spine-tingling silky smooth:
Nick Warren continues to stand above the crowd of DJs simply aiming to pull you along a roller-coaster of highs stitched together. His music evokes incredible introspectiveness while leaving your senses standing on edge. Much like his previous GU24 album Reykjavik, Warren has created a two-disc album that stands apart in style and tempo from most Global Underground releases. This may dissapoint younger listeners simply looking for a in-home version of a good big-club set. This album melds together musical influences few other DJs would be so willing to venture with. His music is both soft and seductive and still manages to transition beats to thick and pumping, mainly on disc 2. I highly reccomend this compilation for anyone that has enjoyed his Back to Mine album, Way Out West CDs or his recent GU releases.

Smooth as hazelnut coffee:
It takes a lot for entire albums to impress me. Even the most popular albums have tracks you just want to skip over or never rip to throw onto your portable audio player. This is not one of those albums. In fact, I can't imagine why anyone would even throw this album into their portable player in the first place, because it deserves so much more than to be streamed through a pair of headphones (unless you own a pair of high end Ultrasones or Grados). What this album deserves is your complete attention as you stream it through your stereo system - dim the lights, open the blinds and look out into the city as the music selected by Warren permeates through the pores of your body, tingling your senses in bath of chill-out ambience. Nick Warren's music has long been for the more mature electronic music fan. His work in Way Out West has included some really pounding tracks like Killa, but his solo work has tended to be more laid back and selective. Warren fans know what to expect and they will not be dissapointed. If you are planning on choosing your first Nick Warren album, make this the one. Then move on to Global Underground 24: Reykjavik where you will notice a similar arrangement style. Love this album to bits. I am sure you will to. Recommended for: Lazy sunday afternoons, conversations with loved one, dinner date, contemplation.
