memory sounds:
this is at the base, mysterious, at first listen i cant even be sure if its intended to be songs , more a memory that weezes trough the wooden cracks of a haunted place on a sunny october day. and then the melodies and gravity of the singing pulls you trough its walls and you are in the beach house where everything is suspended as in a glorious and dusty sunbeam.those two have been intent on making a records sounding like ghosts sharing their best anecdotes and they succeed. what could have been so dark ends up if not peaceful,serene. and the measure of the peeks is so well dispensed, all of those hits their mark never as sparks but as a natural high. this music is damp in a good way like sitting on the oceanside at dusk, bordering on cold but kept warm by the pleasure of the day. the bands name says all. that cd never stays on the shelf for too long for me. its strangely magnetic. spooky good.
