[.ca] Little Man

pretty funny:
I don't know why "critics" like the previous reviewer are so harsh on this film. It's pretty funny and entertaning, in a unique Wayans-brothers way, similar to their other films like "Don't be a menace...", "White chicks", "Scary movie", etc. If you like their humor and style then you'd be laughing watching this film like I did.

\o2.5\c-"Little Man" is short on plot but vast on a few laughs:
I like the Wayne's brothers, wither you want to admit it or not, they give you a few good laughs in most of their films. So, I figured I give "Little Man" a try, and honestly, it wasn't that bad, I actually had a decent time watching this unlike "White Chicks." Most of the humor in this film revolves around slapstick violence, which is in itself mainly based around the fact that one of the instigators of the violence is tiny. This sounds horrible, I know it does, but it is actually not that bad (barring a few parts). Through out this film I found few annoying performances. I have no idea what John Witherspoon was on during the filming of this, but I have the feeling it'd put half of viewers to sleep. I realize the character he's playing is supposed to be a bit crazy, but I quite honestly felt like throwing my shoe through the screen whenever he was on it. Kerry Washington also annoyed me at some points, but that was mostly due to her character's lines rather than how she delivered them. Shawn Wayans puts on a decent performance and is believable at times. The actual plot (a stolen diamond) is pretty much forgotten throughout most of the film. Once Marlon pretends to be the baby, until the very end of the movie, the diamond is pretty much a useless part of the plot. But with this kind of comedy, you know you're not going to get much of a plot-heavy movie anyway, and that should be taken into consideration. Other than that it's a decent film. It's not perfect and it's not bad either. But if you don't like slapstick involving midgets then you can skip it.

Journey to the depths of the earth:
This movie sinks to so many perilously low depths of humor that a team of geologists had to be recruited to help get the analysis done. Crust: Experts agree that after skimming the surface of this movie, you'd have to have granite and basalt in your head to buy it. Packed with crusty, nasty potty humor and crude jokes, it is distinguished by a thin, brittle plot, but despite this, you'll find it very hard to dig deeper. Mantle: If you can persevere long enough to break through the shallow outer surface, you'll find a thick shell of almost impenetrable rock representing the thought processes behind this movie. Approximately 70% of the humor in this movie should be classified as dense or unstable. Core: Dedicated fans of the Wayans Brothers will argue that the core principle behind this movie is to show the strong bond between father and son, but others may hold forth that the heat and pressure exerted on your lower regions during the duration of this movie may be sufficient to cause you to blow chunks.
